This publication comprises 13 unique artist books with photographs, drawings, printed graphics, and texts by Gabriele Stötzer-one of the most important German feminist artists of her generation. Originally created between 1982 and 1988, each of these works reveals a fascinating as well as abundant imagery diving into her artistic work and personal experiences. As fanfolds or photo tableaux mounted on card or in plastic sleeves, bound with carpet tape, stapled or ringbound, these books were self-published outside the tightly controlled approval procedures of GDR press.
