Their texts are supplemented by Franz Kafka's famous story "Worries of a Family Man." In just a few lines, and with a dry sense of humor, Kafka describes the "Odradek," a strange, multicornered creature with "no fixed abode" which is sometimes not seen for weeks and whose real nature has been the subject of controversy among Germanists ever since.
