  • T & H Distributed
  • Expo : 19 May - 7 August 2005, Guggenheim Museum, New York
  • by Vivian E. Barnett, Robert Rosenblum, Roland von Rebay
Art of Tomorrow celebrates Hilla Rebay, one of the founders of the Museum of Non-Objective Painting, the forerunner of the Guggenheim Museum. Rebay was its first curator, director and educator until 1952. She introduces Solomon R.Guggenheim to Kandinsky, Delaunay and Léger, among others, and it is thanks to the extraordinary collaboration between herself and her patron that one of the world's finest collections of early-20th-century modernism was created.
