  • (last copies) Expo: 20/05/2005-25/09/2005, Tate St. Ives
  • by Susan Daniel-McElroy, Marina Warner
Richard Deacon was born in Bangor, Wales in 1949. He was one of a generation of British sculptors who emerged in the early 1980s and went on to achieve national and international acclaim. His works, both on a domestic and monumental scale use simple organic shapes to explore the ideas of language and the senses. This book accompanies an exhibition at Tate St Ives. It includes an installation of wooden forms created for the curved gallery, and a group of new ceramics.
