Guido'Lu - Petite pilule pour la folie

Small Medicine for Foolness, Operetta in 36 parts is an installation of 36 videos created by the Belgian artists duo Guido'Lu to be projected simultaneously on 36 connected screens. Each playlet-insignificant, theatricalised, made-to-measure gestures-highlights an entertaining cliché, a clinical pose, critical fantasizing and even anecdotal situations. The interactive CD-ROM in the book enables the individual to create their own "Operetta" by combining the sounds and swapping around the moving images. Selected for a number of video art festivals (Mexico, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, United States, India, Argentina, Brazil, Romania, Switzerland, etc.), Small Medicine for Foolness, Operetta in 36 parts was nominated for the Werkleitz Project Grant 2004 prize at the Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival.
