From 1978 to 1984, Neil Zlozower was a "fifth member of Van Halen" (says bassist Michael Anthony) - touring, partying with, and photographing the band during the David Lee Roth era (hereafter DLR), at the height of their powers. This is the era everybody agrees on, which spawned two diamond platinum albums, stadium tours, and hits like "Running with the Devil," "Panama," "Jump," and "Hot for Teacher" that have made them a staple of rock radio ever since.
