Rescued Paper Notebook

This notebook features a silk-screened cover, cloth spine and 90 pages of rescued paper within. The rescued sheets are folded and bound so the blank backsides face out for writing, while the previously printed sides face in, for a peek-a-boo reveal of printed matter. Paper stocks in the Rescued Paper line are sourced in India from misprints and overruns that would otherwise be discarded. Many papers are found in the Paper Market in Old Delhi--a series of narrow streets where bundles of waste paper are traded to be recycled. No paper is pulped in this process; the rescued paper is sorted, folded and finally bound with thread under silk-screened covers. The papers for this line vary from product to product, making each item truly one of a kind.
