Description
Drawn to MoMA is an anthology of comics and illustrated stories by 25 acclaimed graphic artists about museum-going and the ways art infiltrates and shapes and our lives. The stories were first published as part of a groundbreaking series featuring some of the most influential illustrators and comics creators of our time, including Chris Ware, Roz Chast, Walter Scott, and Mari Kanstad Johnsen. It offers a dazzling array of artistic styles and storytelling approaches, ranging from intimate sketches and fluid paintings to bold woodcuts and psychedelic cartoons.
While many of the stories document visits to museums, others explore contemporary issues like war, environmentalism, and gender and racial equality, as well as topics related to everyday life, such as motherhood, love, humor, and the ongoing search for meaning and inspiration.
