Chicks on Speed: Don't Art Fashion Music

Chicks on Speed (COS) are an ever-changing multidisciplinary art group who apply a punk-inspired DIY ethic to interrogate the boundaries of art, craft, fashion and music. This highly innovative book documents their recent Objeckt Instruments project and 2010 exhibition at Dundee Contemporary Arts. The outcome of collaborations between international artists, scientists and designers, including Turner Prize-winner Douglas Gordon, the resulting dialogues, innovations and craft experiments have produced fantastical creations. All of these - a high-heeled shoe guitar as worn by Lady Gaga, a cigar-box orchestra, a theremin tapestry and more - are all documented here in lavish colour.
