Description
Since 2003 and in collaboration with de Haen-Carstanjen & Söhne, the Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen has bi-annually awarded dHCS fellowship to recent graduates of the Art Academy Düsseldorf, providing them with a place to work. Since 2022, these studios have been in sculptor Ewald Mataré's house, where he lived and worked until 1965.
To mark the 20th anniversary, House of Mataré introduces current and former fellows and their work, in addition to a number of essays on the history of the Mataré house.
