Description
This remarkable project started as an initiative of four collectors from Vienna, who went through their own holdings to curate an intimate Franz West exhibition in a former gallery in the heart of Vienna. Featuring more than 400 works from all the artist's work groups, this marked the most comprehensive solo exhibition of his oeuvre yet.
Because of the many media reports, the great interest by Franz West enthusiasts, and the curiosity of passersby, the show, which had been conceived for private viewing only, was made publicly accessible. In contrast to museums, this exhibition gave direct access to the works. Visitors could sit on the sofas, divans, and chairs and were allowed to use the Adaptives under supervision.
