Description

New paintings by Arne Quinze, exuberant and in a lush flow of colours, and a large-scale installation by the artist propose an ideal of nature and growth that positions beauty against decay and destruction.
Arne Quinze is an artist whose work bridges the realms of nature and urbanity. His artistic beginnings lie back in the 1980s, among his influences are the underground culture of that period, experimental electronic music, manga and anime. For over three decades, Quinze has dedicated his work to exploring the intricate relationship between nature and human-made environments. Besides street art, he has created complex sculptural installations, which interweave with urban spaces and challenging architectures - strange, but intriguing structures, which appear to have evolved from inner forces. “At the core of 'Hidden Beauty' lies a deep truth: that nature is the ultimate artist and humanity is its humble interpreter.”
