Description
For the 60th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia, the Lebanese Pavilion has invited the artist Mounira Al Solh to create a bridge between ancient myth and reality.
Her installation, A Dance with her Myth, focuses on the abduction of the Phoenician princess Europa by the god Zeus, who took the form of a white bull. Revisited by the artist, the myth sheds light on the issues and challenges currently facing women, using contemporary artistic and visual means.
The catalog includes several texts which facilitate the comprehension of this monumental installation made-up of forty-one pieces.
