About the Author
Mila Teshaieva (b. 1974 in Ukraine) lives today in Berlin. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards - including the Prix de la Photographie Paris, the Humanistic Prize of Phodar Biennal, the NPPA Best of Photojournalism and the PDN Photo Annual 2013 - and has been exhibited internationally. Teshaieva is the winner of Photolucida's Critical Mass Book Award 2012, which made the publication of this photo book possible.
Christoph Moeskes is a jounalist, writer and photographer, based in Berlin.

Maya Iskenderova is a historian and publicist, based out of Azerbaijan.
