Artists books from a Swedish point of view with special attention to the contributions of Denmark and GDR

In this book you will meet around 450 different book artists. Mainly from Sweden, many though internationally active, but also quite a few from Denmark and Germany. The only way to really see the Swedish scene must include neighbouring artists, because artists´ books is a genre that know no limits - whether national or artistical. This is indeed the first survey of artists´ books from a Swedish point of view. Each chapter is an essay, a way to see and understand artists´ books from different views - like The social room, The Body, Berlin, The workshop, The library and archive etc. Each chapter being a story of its own.
