Dhukarr

This catalogue accompanies the exhibition hosted at Museo delle Culture in Lugano presenting a selection of more than hundred works of contemporary aboriginal art from the Knoblauch Collection. These works include paintings, lithographs, serigraphs, etchings and sculptures coming from the most important areas of production of contemporary aboriginal art in Australia: Arnhem Land, Kimberley, Tiwi Islands and Central Australia. Sculptures and paintings on canvas interact in the course of an exhibition exploring the developments of the movement of Aboriginal art during the last thirty-five years; the catalogue is completed by several essays on this theme.
