A tractor seat that transforms into a stool, a bicycle seat that becomes an oscillating yet practicable point of support, a shapeless bag full of polystyrene balls that accommodates and accompanies any movement, a bundle of sticks that opens to become a clothes hanger... We could go on in a whirlwind of ground-breaking examples in attempt to show what the company, founded in 1954, has achieved thanks to the desire, will, hard work and energy of Aurelio Zanotta. A born entrepreneur in his field, who contributed to write a "collective" history in Italian industry: 550 projects created by 120 designers - as Enzo Mari, Alessandro Mendini, Bruno Munari, Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Gio Ponti, Marco Zanuso, Gae Aulenti, Ettore Sottsass, just to mention some - in 60 years of history, and almost 100 pieces that have won awards and have been included in design museums all over the world.
