Description
Evgeny Antufiev's artworks pervade the interstices of the archaeological museum Salinas in Palermo, they are rooted in symbolic visual representations of archaic civilisations generating consonance between different worlds and eras. They evoke ancient discoveries and appear to us as a 'gift' just found within the surrounding landscape and belonging to Nature itself. Art, a founding element of history, contributes to define Landscape through human actions, these overlap with Nature and become part of a legacy which enriches itself progressively, as in the case of unstoppable DNA changes which are conveyed to the next generations. Everything can be discovered and rediscovered and Art is capable of shedding light on this complex itinerary by asking questions on the notions of time and space, memory and imagination.
