Dadamaino

The catalog presents the cycles created by Dadamaino (1930-2004) between the seventies and nineties, which document the complex research on the sign begun by the artist with the Inconscio rationale and Costellazioni series , then fully developed with Passo by step and above all with Il movement of things , as the two vast works presented at the 1990 Venice Biennale were titled.

Here Dadamaino literally fills the large surfaces with signs, which seem to float on the translucent surface of the material used, following irregular patterns, not designed according to a preventive method, but as if to directly transcribe the flow of consciousness that animates the artist. Dadamaino forces the spectator to question his own precognitions, opening cycles that only follow the times and ways of his inflexible brooding, of his unsatisfying search for him.
