Night Pharmacy

Night pharmacy is the first photo book by Fabio and Damiano D’Innocenzo. The book is a beautiful, fun and surreal conversation on photography, which illustrates their hunger to see, and their need to express themselves through any language. Night pharmacy retraces childhood memories, events or distant experiences, as if the twin brothers had already taken notes, in the form of an extremely ironic and spontaneous dialogue. Leafing through the pages of the book, the conversation reveals their concept of photography, while they tell their life stories, underlining the differences between the brothers.

Their images are fresh, spontaneous, they tell their life, the look towards the other, the curiosity of the landscapes, of the disposition of the spaces, of the faces of the friends and the girls, of their loves.

It is as if they were casting by looking at what moves around them

Fabio and Damiano D’Innocenzo are twin brothers. They are directors of their debut film La Terra dell’abbastanza, a story about a friendship between suburban life, delinquency and crime. They are winners of the Nastro D’Argento award for best new director in 2018, and winners of the Silver Bear award for Best Screenplay at the 2020 Berlinale Festival. Their latest film, Favolacce, produced by Pepito Produzioni is a dark fable between Italo Calvino and Gianni Rodari and will be released in cinemas worldwide in 2020. It has been selected for the 2020 Berlin Film Festival. They published the collection of poems My mother is a weapon. Night Pharmacy is their first photobook realised with the support of the Italian luxury brand Gucci.
