About Flowers

Floriste Lut Verkinderen groeide op op een boerderij, op het ritme van de natuur en de seizoenen. Deze liefde voor het buitenleven en een passie voor florale en interieurvormgeving leidde dan ook logisch tot een carriere als professionele floriste. Lut Verkinderen deelt haar inzichten en liefde voor de bloemsierkunst graag en doet dat niet alleen tijdens workshops en demonstraties op grote florale evenementen, maar sinds 2007 ook in haar eigen bloemenschool (www.bloemenschool.be).
Verschillende technieken (weven, rijgen, klemmen, stapelen, bundelen), nieuwe materialen, harmonieuze kleuren en bijzondere structuren staan centraal in het lesprogramma. Florist Lut Verkinderen grew up on a farm, to the rhythm of nature and the seasons. It is hardly surprising, therefore, that this love of the outdoors and a passion for floral and interior design has culminated in a career of professional floristry. Lut Verkinderen, who is happy to share her insights and love for floral arrangements, gives workshops and demonstrations at major floral events, but has, since 2007, also run her own flower school, where she teaches different techniques (weaving, stringing, clamping, stacking, bundling), brings new materials and introduces her students to harmonious colours and special structures. It is in this light that 'About Flowers' should be seen, as it offers not only inspiration, it is, above all, a workbook for all seasons and occasions. Accessible creations in a contemporary style with colourful detail are Lut Verkinderen's trademark.
